Glancewords terms of use

Glancewords is an Android app for learning vocabulary, made by doyourjob.agency (‘we’). By installing or using it you agree to these terms.
Using the app
You may install Glancewords on your own devices and use it for your own learning. Don’t copy, change or resell the app itself, or try to get around its purchase check.
Free words and purchases
- The first 100 words of every built-in course are free, with every feature and no time limit.
- To go on with new words in a course, you buy that course once through Google Play. There is no subscription.
- A purchase belongs to the Google account you made it with. On another phone with the same account, the course unlocks too.
- Words you’ve already started stay available whether or not you buy the course.
- Google Play takes the payment and handles refunds under its own terms. If something went wrong with a purchase, write to us as well.
The word lists
The built-in word lists, examples and notes are built from Wiktionary and other open sources and written for Glancewords. They are shared under CC BY-SA 4.0, so you may share and adapt them under that licence. The app lists every source under Sources and licences, at the end of its settings.
We check the lists entry by entry, but a list can still contain a mistake. If you find one, please tell us.
Your own words
Lists and decks you import stay on your phone and remain yours. Only import material you have the right to use.
The app itself
Apart from the word lists above, the app, its code, its design and its name belong to us.
No guarantee
Glancewords is provided as it is. We work to keep it reliable, but we can’t promise that it works on every phone, all the time and without errors. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the app. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
